Black Walnut and Sitka spruce

I made this guitar for a friend of mine.  The walnut came from the tree his wife played under when she was little.  The tree blew down during a storm, and was resawn.  It wasn't wide enough for a two piece back so I made a three piece using strips of curly maple along the joint line.  The body and neck came from this tree, with the fretboard and bridge made from ebony.

Peruvian Walnut and Sitka spruce

The back and sides are Peruvian walnut with curly maple binding.  The top is Sitka spruce, and the fretboard and headstock overlay are ebony.
