Curly padauk with Sitka Spruce Top

This guitar is for my brother in law.  This one has a Sitka spruce top with curly padauk back and sides.  The fretboard, bridge and the bindings are East Indian Rosewood.  I made the soundhole on this one smaller that usual to try to enhance the bass response due to the tops stiffness.  It seems to have been a success.  It has a nice mellow tone with a bass response that is balanced with the treble response.
Curly Black Limba and Adirondack Spruce

This 12 string has a curly black limba back and sides with an Adirondack spruce top.  The bracing is a modified traditional X brace,  carbon fiber strands under and on top of the braces.  This allows the brace height to be the same as a 6 string, but the carbon fiber provides additional stiffness to handle the tension of the 12 strings.  There is also a carbon fiber patch under the bridge plate to provide additional strength.  There are 6 bridge pins versus the traditional 12 bridge pins.  The advantage is fewer holes in the top. The disadvantage is if you break a string you have to reduce the tension on the other string before you can remove the pin.
Figured Bubinga with German Spruce

This guitar has bubinga back and sides and a German spruce top. This guitar is for a friend who plays finger style.  This guitar has a falcate (sickle shaped) bracing scheme designed by Australian luthier Trevor Gore.
